6. Reciklart – art festival of recycling and DIY culture kicks off today   

There will be workshops, concerts, performances, exhibitions, film screenings and much more – with an undoubtedly good atmosphere and great company! In the case of rain, the festival will take place in the Alkatraz Gallery.

This year’s Art Festival of Recycling and DIY Culture Reciklart calls for volunteers   

Preparations of the 5. Art Festival of Recycling and DIY Culture Reciklart – which will be held on 6-10  August – are in full speed, therefore we invite you all to join us in co-creating the festival!

If you are interested in topics like recycling, DIY-creativity, art in all forms, alternatives to consumer culture and the exploitative attitude towards nature and people, and you want to gain some new experience, knowledge, skills and acquaintances, email us at festival.reciklart@gmail.com (subject: “VOLUNTARY”). The call is open until 17 June.

In the application, please specify which of the following areas you are interested in:

– manual printing of advertising material
– help with the festival stand
– preparing space for workshops
– public relations (PR)
– decorating the festival space
– organization and coordination of the program
– Documentation of the festival program (video, photo)
– translation (from Slovenian to English)
– help with food preparation

4. Art Festival of Recycling and DIY Culture Reciklart   

The 4. Art Festival of Recycling and DIY Culture Reciklart will take place from 7 August, Tuesday until 11 August, Saturday. Most of the programs are taking place in front of Alkatraz Gallery in Metelkova, Ljubljana.

There will be five days of creating, recycling, enjoying music, reflecting, contemplating and much more! All the events of the festival are free of charge. You are kindly inivted to apply for workshops at: festival.reciklart@gmail.com

In case of bad weather the programs will be moved inside of Alkatraz Gallery.

Three days of creating, socializing, recycling and playing music   

Come to the 3rd Art Festival Of Recycling And DIY-culture – Reciklart! The event is going to take place in front of Alkatraz Gallery from 11 August, Friday until 13 August, Sunday. Propose us content as the program hasn’t been completed!

This year’s Reciklart – every day between 4 pm and 11 pm – will work the exchange of stuff, which works under the principle: bring, take, replace. Children will be able to attend a workshop for making masks and textile collages. Kids are invited to learn how to transfer photos to wood and textiles and to how to make colorful carpets from discarded t-shirts.

Organizers are also planning a DIY product fair, art auction, concert, projection of a documentary movie, circus show and surely some other interesting events will pop up.

Participation in the festival is free, but voluntary contributions are always very welcome.
