Concert series Metabonma by its third year meets the objective which it has set itself – to Metelkova the first time on a large scale to bring classical music. Within five concerts will feature some well-known foreign musicians, and will focus principally on the Slovenian musical artists who will have the opportunity to work with renowned composers from our area. The boundaries between the genres of music in recent years and often blurring the specific music only with difficulty be classified into a specific mailbox. So it is with classical music, which in recent decades has accepted and taken advantage of the many features of folk, pop and alternative music. In Metabonmaju audience presents a wide and varied range of music that one word denotes classical.
Concert series FriForma is complemented by Metabonma, a series for staging classical and contemporary composed music, curated by Jože Bogolin and Simon Klavžar. Since 2014, Metabonma has presented artists such as Andrea Centazzo, Mate Bekavac, Bruce Hamilton, Marko Hatlak, Valentine Collet, Slovenian saxophone quartet 4Saxess or percussion duo Drumartica. The event series is happening exclusively at Klub Gromka at Metelkova where classical composed music is rarely presented.
