Joanna Zajac (Poland): Venus Paintings exhibition opening: Tuesday, March 6th, at 21.00, SOT-24,5 Joanna Zajac's aquarelles are very delicate. Even though her Venus series has a thematic focus – aquarelles speak of daily radiations and collisions between the sexes – her images are far too subtle to be limited to such an interpretation. Joanna Zajac is a Polish painter who studied at the Poznań Academy of Arts and continued her studies at the Ljubljana Academy of Arts. She currently lives and works in Slovenia where she has exhibited her paintings on two occasions: her first solo exhibition was in October 2006 at Jurčičeva domačija in Muljava. In December 2006, she also participated at the group exhibition entitled Walk on the Field of Time which took place at the University of Ljubljana. |
