YUMI YUMI
Yumi Yumi je vseženska kitarska prirocna žvecilnogumijevska pop elektro
punk rock zasedba iz Okinawe. Kaori Tsuchida (vokal in kitara) in Yumi
Okamura (vokal in bas) muzicirata v stilu X-Ray Spex, Bangles, Green
Day, B-52s, Go-Gos. Njihove glasbene stvaritve so hitre, prisrcne, lacne,
zagnane, melodicne, rahlo razcefrane in odpete v simpaticno polomljeni
anglešcini. Lomasteci biti, elektro signali, glasni in tihi rifi, ki
jih obcasno, a presenetljivo dopolnjujejo zvoki kuhinjske odtocne cevi.

Yumi-Yumi is all-girl-guitar-wielding-bubblegum-power-pop-electro-punk
rock group from Okinawa. Kaori Tsuchida (vocal and guitar) and Yumi
Okamura (vocal and bass) are performing the music in style of X-Ray
Spex, Bangles, Green Day, B-52s, Go-Gos. Their songs are hurried, cute,
hungry, driven, rifftastically tuneful, slightly fuzzy and sung in the
sort of broken English. Crashing drum beats, electro bleeps, loud bits,
quiet bits, it is the sound of kitchen sinks being joyfully thrown-in.
The rhythms of Japanese Yumi-Yumi are the ones cheerful and warmed audience
takes home in their ears and bellies.
